This war adventure follows the plight of the World-War-II cruiser USS Indianapolis, which was sunk by a Japanese torpedo in 1945 after it had delivered part of the atomic bomb that would be used to destroy Hiroshima. The film depicts the ship's crew as they fight to survive in shark-infested waters after the ship goes down. The film is directed by Mario Van Peebles and stars Nicolas Cage, Thomas Jane and Tom Sizemore. Initially released for online rental in October 2016, the film received a theatrical release in November of that year. Critics' reviews of the film were overwhelmingly negative.
