A Mind to Kill is a Welsh crime drama television series that centers around the work and personal life of Detective Chief Inspector Noel Bain (played by Philip Madoc). The show's episodes are set primarily in Wales and they follow Bain as he tries to solve some of the region's most gruesome crimes.

The second episode of the first season, White Rocks, takes place in the small Welsh village of Pontypridd. The episode begins with a young girl named Jodie Jenkins being discovered dead in a local park. Bain is called to the scene to investigate and he quickly learns that the girl was murdered. The detectives find a rock covered in blood near the body, and they believe that it was the murder weapon.

As the investigation progresses, Bain and his team learn that Jodie was a troubled girl. She had a history of running away from home and had been in and out of the juvenile detention system. The detectives also learn that Jodie was associated with a group of local drug dealers.

Bain begins to focus his investigation on the drug dealers and their connection to Jodie's death. He believes that Jodie may have witnessed something that put her in danger, and that the drug dealers may have killed her to keep her quiet. He enlists the help of a young police officer named Meic who grew up in the area and knows many of the locals.

As Bain and Meic investigate, they encounter resistance from the local community. Many of the people in the area are distrustful of the police and refuse to cooperate. Bain and Meic press on, however, and eventually they make a breakthrough in the case. They discover that Jodie was not killed by the drug dealers after all. Instead, her death was the result of a terrible accident that occurred when she was playing a game with her friends.

Bain and Meic are able to put the pieces of the puzzle together and discover what really happened to Jodie. While the case turns out to be a tragic accident instead of a murder, it still leaves a profound impact on the people in the community. The episode ends with Bain and his team reflecting on the tragedy, and with a sense of hope that they were able to bring some closure to Jodie's family.

Overall, White Rocks is a gripping and emotional episode that deals with themes such as trust, loss, and community. The show's attention to detail and its ability to create a compelling atmosphere make it a must-watch for fans of crime dramas. With strong performances from the cast and a well-crafted story, this episode is a great example of what A Mind to Kill does best.
