Ep 1. Festival of the Festering Moon / Simon's Big Score

As the third season of AAAHH!!! Real Monsters kicks off, viewers are treated to an episode that delivers a double dose of monster mayhem. Meanwhile, Ickis is on a mission of his own. He's convinced that he can sneak into the Festival's heavily guarded treasure room and steal one of the prized items held within. Unfortunately for him, it seems that every other monster in the place has the same idea, leading to a wild chase scene that culminates in a hilarious train crash you won't soon forget.

The second story, "Simon's Big Score," introduces us to a brand new character in the form of Simon the Monster Hunter. Simon is a bumbling but determined human who has made it his life's work to capture and exterminate the monsters he believes are hiding in the shadows. When he hears about the Festering Moon festival, he knows that it's the perfect opportunity to finally catch his prey.

Of course, Simon has no idea what he's getting into. As soon as he arrives at the festival, he's bombarded by all sorts of strange sights and sounds that defy explanation. Nevertheless, he presses on, convinced that his hunting skills will see him through.

As the day wears on, Simon inevitably crosses paths with our trio of misfit monsters. The resulting battle is a sight to behold, as Simon's clumsy attempts to capture his quarry lead to all sorts of mishaps and misadventures. From Ickis's invisibility tricks to Oblina's shape-shifting abilities, the monsters do everything they can to evade Simon's grasp.

Ultimately, of course, the tables turn, and Simon finds himself on the run from the very creatures he was hoping to capture. The resulting chase is as thrilling as it is hilarious, culminating in a showdown atop a precarious mountain peak that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Both segments of this episode of AAAHH!!! Real Monsters are a delight, filled with all the humor, heart, and gross-out gags that fans of the show have come to expect.
