Rocko's Modern Life is a cartoon television series that features a large cast of characters, all of which are anthropomorphic animals of some sort. Originally, the show aired on the Nickelodeon channel as a Nicktoon. The main character is Rocko, who is a wallaby and lives in the fictional city of O-Town, with his dog Spunky.

Along with Rocko are also Heffer, a steer and Philburt, a turtle, who are Rocko's best friends and also supporting characters in the series. The three of them often go together on various wacky, loony adventures that take them all over the place. Other characters include the Bigheads, Rocko's somewhat elderly next door neighbors who get involved in Rocko's adventures every so often. Many of these adventures feature some abstract characters and designs that can be appealing to the eye.

The show itself is a comedy that is targeted for kids but can be enjoyable for people of all ages. Though there is some adult humor in the show, most of it is subtle enough for younger people not to notice.
