Krumm, the timid monster whose eyeballs are held in his hands, has always been a bit of an underdog in the monster world. But in "Krumm Gets Ahead," he finally gets his chance for some recognition when he discovers that his unique skill set is actually quite useful. When Ickis and Oblina accidentally lose their own eyeballs, Krumm steps in to save the day with his trusty fists. Soon, Krumm becomes the talk of the monster school and even attracts the attention of the headmaster. But fame is fleeting, and Krumm soon realizes that being popular isn't all it's cracked up to be.
In "It's Only a Movie," the monsters get a chance to see humans in action when they stumble upon a movie theater. Fascinated by the images on the big screen, Ickis, Oblina, and Krumm decide to try their hand at making their own movie. But as they quickly discover, filmmaking is harder than it looks. With no script, no budget, and no experience, the monsters struggle to create anything resembling a coherent story. But as they continue to work together, they begin to realize that the most important thing isn't the end result, but the journey itself.
Both episodes showcase the unique humor and charm that made AAAHH!!! Real Monsters such a beloved show in the 90s. With its focus on the underdog monsters and their quirky personalities, the show has always been a favorite among fans of all ages. And in season 3, episode 7, it delivers some of its best comedy yet.
