Ep 26. Heat Signature

In Adventure Time season 2 episode 26 titled "Heat Signature," Finn and Jake are on a mission to find out why the sun is so hot and why everyone is walking around in their underwear. Finn and Jake arrive on Fire Kingdom to find that the entire kingdom is experiencing an intense heat wave due to the sun's heat being amplified by an artifact called the Heat Signature.

Finn and Jake confront Ice King and a fight ensues. However, they ultimately realize that the best way to defeat Ice King is to use logic and reason to convince him to give up the Heat Signature. They explain to him that stealing it and using it to make himself more powerful will ultimately lead to his own destruction, as well as the destruction of those around him.

After some convincing, the Ice King ultimately agrees to give up the Heat Signature, and Finn and Jake return it to its rightful place in the Sun Kingdom. As a result, the intense heat wave subsides and everyone is able to cool down.
