Cherry Cream Soda is the second episode of Adventure Time's ninth and final season. In this episode, Cherry Cream Soda, a character first introduced in season six, is struggling with her responsibilities as a wife and mother. She loves her family, but she feels like her life has become routine and unexciting. Meanwhile, Starchy is convinced that the end of the world is coming and he's determined to prepare for it.
As Cherry Cream Soda struggles with her feelings of boredom, she comes across a group of flying mushrooms that offer her a taste of adventure. They take her on a wild ride through the sky, showing her sights she's never seen before. Cherry Cream Soda feels alive and exhilarated, but she soon realizes that she needs to return home to her family.
Back in her mundane life, Cherry Cream Soda realizes that adventure isn't always about flying through the sky or going on dangerous quests. She finds joy in the simple moments with her family and she's grateful for the stability and love they provide.
In the second half of the episode, Mama Said, Finn and Jake decide to visit Joshua and Margaret's grave to pay their respects. Along the way, they meet Jermaine, Jake's estranged brother, who has been living as a recluse in a dilapidated building.
Jermaine is angry and resentful towards Jake, feeling like his brother abandoned him and their family. Finn and Jake try to reason with him, but he refuses to listen. However, when Jermaine discovers that he's become a father, he realizes that he doesn't want to repeat the same mistakes his own father made.
As Finn, Jake, and Jermaine journey to the grave, they confront their past and try to make amends. They realize that while they may have made mistakes, they still have the opportunity to make things right.
Cherry Cream Soda / Mama Said is an emotional and introspective episode that explores the themes of family, adventure, and reconciliation. By confronting their pasts, the characters are able to find peace and acceptance in the present.
