After Trek was a talk show that aired on CBS All Access from 2017 to 2018, which aired immediately following new episodes of Star Trek: Discovery. The series was hosted by comedian and writer Matt Mira, who was joined by a rotating cast of guests each week, including cast members from Discovery and special guests from the Star Trek universe.
In addition to Mira, the series featured Aaron Harberts, one of the showrunners for Star Trek: Discovery, as well as Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays the lead character Michael Burnham on the show. Martin-Green's presence on the show was particularly noteworthy, as she was one of the first African American women to lead a Star Trek series.
Throughout its run, After Trek provided fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Star Trek: Discovery, as well as in-depth discussions about the show's themes and characters. Each episode began with a recap of the most recent episode of Discovery, followed by a discussion among the guests about their thoughts and feelings on the episode.
One of the highlights of the show was its interactive features, which allowed fans to participate in the discussion in real-time via social media. Fans could submit questions and comments using the hashtag #AfterTrek, which would then be read and discussed on the show by Mira and his guests.
