In another part of Alaska, Trooper Luis Nieves and his partner, Trooper Stuart Spiese, are patrolling the Dalton Highway, a remote and dangerous road. The troopers stop a truck that is carrying an oversized load without proper permits. The driver becomes hostile and starts arguing with the troopers. They eventually manage to convince the driver to turn around and go back to the nearest town to get the necessary permits.

Back in Seward, Trooper Mclain and his team are investigating the scene of the rock-throwing rampage. They discover that the suspect had broken into a nearby boat, and they find drug paraphernalia and stolen property inside. The suspect is charged with burglary and criminal mischief.

The episode also showcases the work of the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, who enforce state fish and game laws. Trooper Tim Birt responds to a call about a group of fishermen who are illegally harvesting king salmon in a restricted area. Birt and his team confront the fishermen, who claim they didn't know they were breaking the law. Birt educates them about the rules and regulations, and they are let off with a warning.
