AOKANA: Four Rhythm Across the Blue is an anime series set in a world where anti-gravity shoes allow people to fly. In season 1 episode 4, titled "Meat Makes Me Happy!", the focus is on the girls' training for the upcoming Flying Circus tournament. The episode starts with the girls waking up early to begin their training. As they get ready, Asuka gives Misaki a new recipe for a healthy breakfast, teaching her how to make a green smoothie. Misaki isn't a fan of vegetables but decides to give it a try. However, she doesn't seem to enjoy the taste of it and Asuka teases her for her picky eating habits.
As the girls begin their training, Coach Ishikawa introduces a new device called the "My Star." The device can track and record the data of each player's movements during training, helping them analyze their strengths and weaknesses. The girls are excited to use it and see how they can improve their flying.
The girls split up into pairs to practice their moves, with Misaki and Mashiro training together. Mashiro sets up a course for them to fly through, but Misaki keeps messing up and falling off her shoes. Mashiro encourages her to keep trying, and the two eventually fly through the course flawlessly. Misaki is thrilled and thanks Mashiro for her patience and support.
That evening, the girls are gathered in the dormitory's common area for dinner. Asuka serves up a delicious meat dish that she has been looking forward to all day. However, Misaki admits that she doesn't eat much meat and Asuka is surprised. She challenges Misaki to eat a full serving of meat, promising to give her a prize if she does. Misaki accepts the challenge and digs in, enjoying the dish more than she thought she would. Asuka rewards her with a new pair of anti-gravity shoes, which Misaki is thrilled to receive.
The next day, the girls continue their training and are excited to see how much they've improved with the My Star device. Misaki is surprised to see that she has improved the most out of all the girls, and her confidence is boosted. However, during a scrimmage against another team, Misaki makes a critical mistake that costs them the game. She is devastated and feels like she let the team down.
Back at the dormitory, Mashiro encourages Misaki to not give up and reminds her that everyone makes mistakes. She tells her that it's important to learn from them and keep working hard. Misaki takes Mashiro's words to heart and vows to train even harder for the next game.
Overall, "Meat Makes Me Happy!" is a fun and light-hearted episode that focuses on the girls' training and their relationships with each other. The addition of the My Star device adds an interesting element to their training, and Misaki's struggles and eventual triumph are relatable and inspiring. The episode also emphasizes the importance of teamwork and support, highlighting the strong bonds between the girls.
