Archibald, who is used to running wild and going on adventures, finds this lifestyle boring and mundane.

Meanwhile, Mr. Whiskers, who is now in Archibald's body, is having just as much trouble adjusting. He is used to lounging around all day and being pampered by Mrs. Krickengold. However, now he find himself constantly on the move, exploring and looking for adventure with Archibald's friends.

Throughout the episode, Archibald and Mr. Whiskers learn to appreciate each other's lives. Archibald realizes that being a cat is not as easy as he thought it would be and that there is more to Mr. Whiskers than meets the eye. Mr. Whiskers learns that there is excitement and adventure to be had outside of his comfortable life with Mrs. Krickengold.

In the end, Archibald and Mr. Whiskers switch back to their original bodies, relieved to be back in their own lives. The experience has taught them both to appreciate what they have and to not take their lives for granted.
