The Southern Raiders is the 16th episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender's third season. Katara is devastated by this revelation and decides not to kill him, instead choosing to let him go and live with the weight of his actions.
The episode concludes with Katara and Zuko returning to the rest of the group and Katara finally finding closure and peace regarding her mother's death. The episode is a powerful exploration of grief, forgiveness, and the consequences of war.
