In Baccano! season 1 episode 5, titled "Jacuzzi Splot Cries, Cowers, and Shows His Mettle," viewers are introduced to a new protagonist named Jacuzzi Splot. We learn that Jacuzzi is a member of the Gandor Family, a prominent mafia organization in New York City during the 1930s. However, unlike his tough and fearless counterparts, Jacuzzi is a timid and emotional man who has a tendency to cry at the slightest provocation.

The episode opens with Jacuzzi and his gang aboard a train headed to New York. We see that Jacuzzi is clearly afraid of their mission, but his gang members encourage him to be brave. Suddenly, a group of masked robbers enter the train and begin to rob the passengers. Jacuzzi's gang tries to intervene, but they are quickly overpowered.

In the chaos, Jacuzzi's girlfriend Nice is taken hostage by the robbers. Jacuzzi is visibly distraught but manages to gather the courage to chase after them. With the help of his loyal companion Donny, Jacuzzi tracks down the robbers' hideout and attempts to rescue Nice.

What follows is an intense and action-packed sequence in which Jacuzzi and Donny use their wit and bravery to take down the robbers and rescue Nice. Throughout the ordeal, we see Jacuzzi struggle with his fears and doubts, but he ultimately rises to the occasion and proves himself to be a capable and courageous leader.

Meanwhile, the rest of the episode introduces several new characters and plotlines that will undoubtedly play a larger role in the overarching story. We meet Isaac and Miria, a quirky and lovable duo of thieves who stumble upon a secret organization's "immortality elixir." We also see further developments in the feud between the Gandor and Martillo families, as well as the mysterious immortals who seem to be at the center of it all.

Overall, "Jacuzzi Splot Cries, Cowers, and Shows His Mettle" is a thrilling and emotional episode that further expands the intricate web of characters and plotlines that make up Baccano!. While there are plenty of intense action scenes and witty dialogue, it's the character development and emotional depth that truly make this episode stand out. Fans of the series won't want to miss it.
