Ep 5. Gramma's License / Bear Trapped

In Big City Greens season 1 episode 5, titled "Gramma's License / Bear Trapped," the focus is on Bill Green's mother, Gramma Alice, as she embarks on getting her driver's license. Gramma Alice is a tough old lady who thinks she's an excellent driver, but when she takes the test, things go very wrong. Meanwhile, Cricket Green, Bill's son, discovers a bear trapped inside the Green family truck. Cricket and his little sister Tilly, with the help of their friend Remy, try to come up with a plan to free the bear before the authorities come and take it away.

In "Gramma's License," the episode opens with Gramma Alice picking up Cricket and Tilly after school in her rickety old car. Cricket, who normally loves his grandmother, is embarrassed by her driving, which includes a lot of swerving and erratic turns. When they get home, he complains to his dad, Bill, about Gramma's driving skills, leading to Gramma Alice's determination to show them that she's still got it. She schedules a driving test, but fails miserably due to her hot-headedness, stubbornness, and inability to listen to directions. Cricket and Tilly try to comfort her, telling her that they don't care if she can drive or not, as long as she's still able to hang out with them.

In "Bear Trapped," Cricket discovers a bear trapped inside the family truck after he leaves a bag of nuts inside. He enlists the help of his adventurous little sister Tilly and neighbor Remy to try and free the bear without getting hurt. At first they try to force the door open with a stick, but that doesn't work. Then they concoct a plan to distract the bear with a trail of nuts while they unlock the doors from the outside. This plan also fails due to the bear being too smart for them. They eventually come up with a plan that involves building a log ramp to the back of the truck, but just as they're about to set it up, the authorities arrive to take the bear away.

"Gramma's License / Bear Trapped" is a fun and action-packed episode of Big City Greens that showcases the humor and heart of the show. Gramma Alice is a great character who provides plenty of laughs with her tough talk and stubborn antics, while Cricket, Tilly, and Remy make for a lovable trio of kids who are always up for adventure. The episode also has a nice message about the importance of family and the value of spending time with loved ones. Overall, "Gramma's License / Bear Trapped" is a great addition to the first season of Big City Greens.
