Ep 23. Cricket's Tickets

Cricket's Tickets is an episode from the second season of Big City Greens, an animated television show on Disney Channel. The show follows the exploits of the Green family, who have recently moved to the big city. Cricket Green is the main character, a mischievous young boy who is always getting into trouble.

In this particular episode, Cricket and Tilly (his older sister) are desperate to see Ninja Heroes 3, the latest installment in their favorite movie franchise. Cricket has saved up all of his money for months to buy tickets to the premiere, but when they finally arrive at the theater, they discover that the show is sold out.

Cricket is devastated. He can't believe that he's been saving up all this time for nothing. Tilly tries to console him, but he won't be comforted. He's determined to see the movie no matter what.

As they're walking back home, Tilly gets an idea. She remembers that a wealthy woman named Mrs. Awe-Somesauce lives in their neighborhood. Mrs. Awe-Somesauce is known for having all sorts of rare and exotic items, so Tilly suggests that they pay her a visit to see if she might have some Ninja Heroes 3 tickets.

When they arrive at Mrs. Awe-Somesauce's mansion, they're greeted by her snooty butler, Chauncey. Tilly tries to explain their situation, but Chauncey isn't interested in helping them. He tells them to leave and slams the door in their faces. But Cricket isn't one to give up easily. He spots a window that's slightly ajar and decides to climb into the mansion to search for the tickets himself.

Once inside, Cricket and Tilly sneak around the mansion, trying to avoid detection. They rummage through Mrs. Awe-Somesauce's collection of oddities and eventually come across an area that's locked. They realize that this must be where she keeps all of her most valuable possessions. Cricket sees this as an opportunity to find the tickets and decides to pick the lock.

When they finally get inside, they're surprised to see that the room is filled with Ninja Heroes memorabilia. There are posters, action figures, and even a life-sized statue of the main character. But to their disappointment, there are no tickets to be found.

Just as they're about to give up and leave, Mrs. Awe-Somesauce catches them in the act. She demands to know what they're doing in her private collection. Tilly tries to explain, but Mrs. Awe-Somesauce isn't interested in their excuses. She decides to call the police.

Cricket and Tilly are terrified. They don't want to go to jail over some movie tickets. But just as things seem hopeless, Mrs. Awe-Somesauce has a change of heart. She sees how determined and passionate the kids are about the movie and decides to help them. She reveals that she actually has two tickets to the premiere and offers them to Cricket and Tilly.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, the siblings thank her profusely. They can't believe they've finally gotten their hands on the coveted tickets. As they're leaving, Mrs. Awe-Somesauce reminds them that she's not a bad person and that they should always ask for help before resorting to breaking and entering.

Cricket and Tilly return home triumphant, and the episode ends with them eagerly anticipating the premiere of Ninja Heroes 3. It's a heartwarming story about the power of determination and how even the most unlikely allies can come to your aid when you're in need.
