Ep 6. No Service

Bill Green, his son Cricket, and their extended family move from the rural southern farm community of Big City Greens to the vibrant life of the big city in the new animated series “Big City Greens.” In season 3 episode 6 entitled No Service, Cricket and his sister Tilly take a day off from technology and venture into the city in search of some good, old-fashioned fun.

The two receive glowing praise and even some cash donations from the crowd.

Feeling invigorated by their success, Cricket and Tilly decide to continue their tech-free adventure by visiting an old arcade. Here, they try their hand at classic games like pinball and air hockey, but their fun is cut short when they realize they don’t have any quarters left to play.

Determined to continue their adventure, the pair decide to put their street performance skills to the test. They put on a show for a group of people passing by and are rewarded with a jar full of coins.

As the day draws to a close, Cricket and Tilly realize that they don't need technology to have fun. They can still have an amazing time without being constantly glued to their devices. With a renewed sense of energy and joy, they head back home to their family, vowing to continue exploring the world around them.

No service is an episode that encourages viewers to put down their phones and experience the world around them more fully. Through the adventures of Cricket and Tilly, we see the value of unplugging and enjoying life without technology distracting us.
