Big Lake was a short-lived comedy series that aired on Comedy Central in 2010. The show was created by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, who were also executive producers on the show. The show starred James Rebhorn, Chris Parnell, Deborah Rush, and Horatio Sanz, among others.

The show was set in the small town of Big Lake, Pennsylvania, and focused on the adventures of financial advisor Josh Franklin (played by Chris Gethard), who returned to his hometown after losing his job in New York City. Upon returning home, Josh moves back in with his parents (played by James Rebhorn and Deborah Rush) and reconnects with his high school friends, including the bumbling Glenn (played by Horatio Sanz).

Throughout the series, Josh navigates his way through the small town and tries to find his place in the world once again. He encounters a wide variety of colorful characters, ranging from a local entrepreneur who sells questionable health products (played by Chris Parnell) to a group of teenagers who are determined to pull off a heist.

Big Lake was a show that relied heavily on the interactions between the characters. The humor was often derived from the absurd situations that the characters found themselves in, as well as the witty banter between them. The show also had a satirical edge, poking fun at small-town life and the various quirks of the people who inhabit it.

Despite having a talented cast and creative team behind it, Big Lake only lasted one season. The show received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising the performances and writing, while others felt that it lacked direction and failed to fully capitalize on its potential.

While Big Lake may not have been a huge commercial success, it is still worth watching for fans of the cast or those who enjoy character-driven comedies. The show may not have been perfect, but it had enough wit and charm to make it a worthwhile addition to the Comedy Central lineup.
