Ep 7. You Get What You Need

In the final episode of Big Little Lies season 1, titled "You Get What You Need," tensions are high and secrets are exposed at the school's trivia night. As the event unfolds, viewers are taken back to the night of the fundraiser, where the events leading up to the fateful push at the end of the previous episode are revealed.

The episode opens with the five main characters- Madeline, Celeste, Jane, Renata, and Bonnie- getting ready for trivia night, each preoccupied with their own personal dramas. Madeline is dealing with the aftermath of her affair being exposed, while also trying to keep her ex-husband's new wife away from her family. Celeste is struggling to come to terms with the abuse she suffered at the hands of her husband, Perry, and grappling with whether or not to leave him. Jane is still reeling from discovering the truth about her attacker, and grappling with how to tell her son. Renata is heartbroken over her daughter's bullying ordeal, and Bonnie is struggling with the guilt of her actions at the fundraiser.

As the trivia night gets underway, tensions between the women and their partners continue to escalate. Secrets are revealed and tensions boil over as everyone's true feelings are laid bare. It all comes to a head when Perry confronts Celeste about her plans to leave him, leading to a confrontation that will leave viewers gasping.

Throughout the episode, we are also given glimpses of Detective Quinlan's investigation into the events of the fundraiser, as he pieces together the truth behind what happened. As he gets closer to the truth, the tension ratchets up even higher.

In the end, "You Get What You Need" delivers a satisfying conclusion to the season's many storylines, with all of the characters getting some form of closure- for better or for worse. It's a thrilling finale that will leave viewers eagerly anticipating the next season.
