Biography Season 22 Episode 19 Joe Biden
- October 29, 2008
Joseph Biden had to overcome many personal hurdles to get where he is today, the Democrats' 2008 Vice Presidential Candidate. He overcame a stuttering problem and made himself into a trial lawyer and later a public defender. Then Joe turned to politics where he became the fifth youngest Senator in US history with a victory over the two-term Republican incumbent. But tragedy soon struck as a day of Christmas shopping ended with his wife and infant child being killed in a traffic accident. He considered resigning to care for his three other children but instead stayed on and made a 3 hour commute each way. Joe is in his fifth term and is considered a power player.
