As soon as they connect to this website, they are shortly questioned by an AI in the system, of which they had no knowledge of its existence. The AI has multiple personalities and is each created for a different purpose on the Internet. With some short conversations with personalities such as the Trolling Elder, they discover a new personality, the Steward of the Internet.

The Steward explains that the rebooted internet will be dangerous for organizing and controlling information if everyone is included. It is then suggested that only a few select people should access the reboot, and the rest of the world should live in ignorance. Birdgirl and Ray disagree, and in the struggle, the reboot is shut down.

The episode continues as they continue to explore what it means to control information in an era where it is easily accessible to everyone. The episode touches on how the internet has changed over the years from the early days of college experiments to the echo chambers of today.

"We Got The Internet" explores themes that go beyond the typical superhero show. It emphasizes where the emphasis should lie, whether true information should be accessible to everyone, or just a handful of selected individuals should control it.
