- January 1, 2002
Bob The Builder is a British children's TV program that follows a team of construction vehicles, headed by the titular character, Bob. Each episode sees the group undertaking a new project or servicing the needs of the residents of their idyllic rural village.
Season 6 brings us to the beginning of another splendid adventure with Bob and his team. In the episode titled "El Detector de Metales de Bob" (Bob's Metal Detector), Bob discovers that the metal detector he had ordered is finally arriving, and it's a great opportunity for him to explore and uncover exciting treasures.
The whole team is thrilled as they are going on a treasure hunt. Bob has planned to use the metal detector to find hidden objects in the town. With Wendy's help, he makes a map of the town, and they set out to find the treasure.
The metal detector is a new and exciting tool for Bob and the team, and they can't wait to test it out. They start by checking the backyard of their HQ where they find a treasure chest buried under the soil. The chest contains some ancient maps, and they plan to find the location where the maps were made.
They follow the first map and end up in a small village. It's an old and forgotten village, with only one inhabitant named Juan who welcomes them warmly. He tells them stories about the village and gives them a map showing an old abandoned mine.
Excited, the team starts following the map and finally ends up at the mine. There, they use the metal detector to find metal items that they can use to put together a puzzle leading to the hidden treasure.
Each member of the group is excited about using the metal detector, and they keep finding metal objects like ancient coins, old tools, and other odd items from the past. They discover a lot about the village's history through the objects they find, and their curiosity takes over as they keep exploring more and more.
Meanwhile, Spud decides to join the treasure hunt, but he has his own plans. He wants to get rich quickly and start his own shop. He keeps trying to find the treasure by himself to become rich and famous but keeps messing up.
As the team gets closer to finding the treasure, Spud stumbles across the metal detector and tries to keep it for himself. However, he quickly realizes that finding treasure is not as easy as he thought, and he decides to give it back to Bob.
Finally, the team solves the puzzle, and they find the treasure. The treasure is a collection of old artifacts, and the group feels a sense of accomplishment finding it. They realize that the journey and the memories they made were more important than the treasure itself.
In the end, they return the treasure to the museum to be displayed, and Spud decides to set up a small shop selling ancient-looking items that he had found. The group feels happy and satisfied with the new things they learned about their town and the adventure they had together. With the metal detector, they had discovered something new and exciting, and they looked forward to their next adventure.
