Ep 12. The Frond Files

Bob's Burgers season 4 episode 12, titled "The Frond Files", starts with the school guidance counselor Mr. Frond getting fired from his job. The students of the school are devastated because they really liked him. Meanwhile, Bob starts receiving mysterious letters from someone requesting to purchase his burgers. Bob thinks it's someone pranking him, but he decides to go ahead and deliver the requested order anyway.

Meanwhile, the Belcher kids start to investigate why Mr. Frond got fired. They come to learn that one of the students snitched on him for allegedly having a "mushroom garden" in his office. The Belcher kids, along with Gene's musical skills and Louise's clever tactics, decide to look into it further and clear Mr. Frond's name.

Along the way, the kids uncover some "secret files" that Mr. Frond kept on each of them. These files reveal their deepest fears, insecurities and embarrassing moments. The kids feel betrayed and confront Mr. Frond about it, but he explains that he only kept the files to help the kids and nobody else was supposed to know about them.

In the meantime, Bob gets another request for his burgers and this time the letter includes a map to an abandoned factory. Bob and Linda decide to investigate but when they arrive at the factory they discover it's a trap. A group of kids, including one who had snitched on Mr. Frond, had planned to humiliate Bob and expose him for being a terrible cook. However, the Belcher kids, who had been following Bob and Linda, come to their rescue and help them escape.

Back at the restaurant, Mr. Frond arrives to reveal the truth about his "mushroom garden" – it was actually just a regular garden where he grew mushrooms for culinary purposes. He also reveals that the reason he got fired was because he refused to reveal the names of the students who had confessed to him about their personal problems, and the school administration considered that to be a breach of confidentiality. However, the Belcher kids decide to help Mr. Frond and the rest of the school kids stage a protest against the school to get Mr. Frond rehired.

The episode ends with Bob and Linda finally discovering the identity of the mysterious burger buyer – it's actually Teddy, their friend and frequent customer at the restaurant. Teddy explains that he just wanted to surprise them with a special menu item, but didn't want to reveal his true identity because he's self-conscious about his love for burgers.

Overall, "The Frond Files" is a fun and heartwarming episode that showcases the Belcher kids' determination to clear Mr. Frond's name and help him get his job back. It also highlights the importance of confidentiality in counseling and the value of supportive relationships and trust among friends and family.
