Ep 9. Sacred Couch

Bob's Burgers season 6 episode 9, Sacred Couch, revolves around the Belcher family's couch and the lengths they go to save it.

The Belcher family is having a lazy Sunday when Linda spills red wine on their beloved couch. They finally stumble upon a man who agrees to fix the couch, but it comes with a big catch; they must participate in a bizarre ritual to cleanse the couch of its negative energy.

The ritual involves the family sitting on the couch while the man chants and sprinkles the couch with salt. Although it seems ridiculous, it appears to be working when they notice the red wine stain disappearing. However, things quickly take a turn for the worse when the man's ex-girlfriend arrives and interrupts the ritual with her own bizarre cleansing technique.

The Belchers then find themselves in the midst of a bizarre spiritual battle between the man and his ex-girlfriend, with the couch caught in the middle. They eventually decide that the couch is causing more trouble than it's worth and allow it to be destroyed in the midst of the chaos.

As the episode comes to a close, the family is left to mourn the loss of their beloved couch. They come to realize, however, that the memories they've made on that couch are what truly made it sacred and that their bond as a family is what matters most.
