Ep 9. The Steel in the Wheels

While the Jeffersonian team is on a train to San Francisco for a conference, they discover that the train's dining car has been turned into a crime scene. The victim is a well-known chef who was traveling to the same conference, and his body has been found with his head in the soup tureen.

Bones and the team quickly get to work identifying the victim and piecing together his last moments. They discover that the chef had a myriad of enemies, including some of his fellow chefs who were jealous of his success. However, they soon realize that the motive may be connected to a non-food industry he was part of.

As the team investigates, they have to confront their own personal dramas. Hodgins becomes increasingly obsessed with his conspiracy theories, which puts a strain on his relationship with Angela. Meanwhile, Cam struggles with accepting the fact that Arastoo may be leaving to take a job in Iran.

The investigation leads the team down a twisty road filled with secrets and red herrings. They eventually narrow down the culprits, but it takes all of their skills and persistence to bring the killer to justice.

Along the way, Bones and Booth share a touching moment as they contemplate the difficulties of finding true love. The whole episode culminates in a well-deserved group celebration as the team returns to Washington D.C. after another successful case.
