This leads the team to consider that the victim might have been killed somewhere else and transported to the pageant location.

As the investigation continues, Brennan and Booth get closer and closer to the truth. They eventually uncover a web of lies and deceit, leading them to the killer. The episode concludes with the killer confessing to the crime, giving the victim's mother some closure and allowing Brennan and Booth to bring the perpetrator to justice.
