A brutal gunfight ensues, with both sides taking injuries. The outlaws eventually retreat, only after killing several of Tom's ranch hands and leaving Tom himself in critical condition.

Despite the violence, the team stays true to their mission and works into the night to evacuate the wounded and repair the damages on the ranch, culminating in a tense standoff with the remaining outlaws. The episode ends with the team resolving to complete the mission and take down the Comanchero.

Overall, "The Comanchero" is a well-executed pilot episode that effectively sets the tone for the series and introduces audiences to the team's unique working dynamic.
