In the eighth episode of Car Matchmaker season 2, titled "Truck, Yeah!", host Spike Feresten helps two car buyers find their dream trucks.
First up is Jeff, a comic book artist and writer who needs a truck that can handle his daily commute as well as his trips to Comic-Con. He's looking for something stylish but also practical, with plenty of storage space and towing capacity. Spike takes him to test drive the 2016 Toyota Tacoma, which has the ruggedness and off-road capability he craves, as well as the latest technology and safety features. But will it have enough room for all of Jeff's gear?
Next, Spike meets Cameron, a video editor who wants a classic truck that he can restore and customize. He's always loved the look of the 1956 Ford F100, but he's open to other options as well. Spike takes him to a classic car dealership to check out some vintage trucks and get a sense of what he likes. Cameron falls in love with a 1954 Chevrolet 3100, with its classic lines and beautiful paint job. But can he afford to restore it to its former glory?
Throughout the episode, Spike provides expert advice on everything from engine specs to financing options. He also offers some comic relief, as he and his clients navigate the world of car buying and all its potential pitfalls.
In the end, both Jeff and Cameron find their dream trucks, with Spike's help. Jeff opts for the practicality of the Toyota Tacoma, while Cameron takes on the challenge of restoring the vintage Chevy. It's a satisfying conclusion to another fun and informative episode of Car Matchmaker.
