Executive produced by chef and television personality Anthony Bourdain, The Getaway is a documentary reality series that follows celebrities as they take viewers through tours of famous cities like Paris, New York, Hong Kong, Paris and Belfast. During their days at these locations the celebrities will completely immerge themselves and their viewers on the culture, cuisine, and people that make up their location.

The first season of The Getaway aired in September 2013, and has featured celebrities like The Soup host Joel McHale as he traveled through Belfast, actor Aziz Ansari as he traveled through Hong Kong, and actress Rashida Jones as she traveled through London. The Getaway allows viewers to follow their favorite celebrities to locations of their choice as the celebrities educate viewers on why they love the location, where to stay, what to eat and drink, as well as where they can see the best sites and do some shopping.

Each episode is one hour long and the goal is to offer viewers the celebrity's insider's view as to what makes the city, the people, and culture so beloved.
