Maya and Kaori are outnumbered and outmatched, but they're able to hold their own until reinforcements arrive in the form of Umibozu and his fellow mercenary, Falcon.

The five of them are able to defeat the assassins, but they're not out of danger yet. Tokimori himself arrives, armed with a powerful weapon that he uses to attack them. Maya uses her esper powers to shield them from the attack, but the strain is too much for her and she collapses.

As Maya lies unconscious, Ryo's spirit is finally able to return to his body, and he wakes up in the hospital bed, his physical injuries already on the mend thanks to Maya's healing powers. He's grateful to be back among the living and immediately sets to work on finding and stopping Tokimori.

What follows is a tense and action-packed showdown between Ryo and Tokimori, with the other characters doing their best to support him from the sidelines. Ryo is ultimately able to defeat Tokimori and put an end to his corrupt activities, but not without some emotional struggles along the way.
