Coast Guard Florida is a new television series that falls into the genre of documentary, and it primarily airs on the weather channel. Coast Guard Florida is mainly focused around the various men and women of the 7th Coast Guard district. The 7th coast guard district includes many various areas of Florida such as Clearwater, The Keys, Miami, as well as the Everglades. These brave men and women cover over 1.8 million squares miles, including 9,500 miles of beautiful shoreline, as well as 34 different nations and independent territories. They have many resources to use at their disposal such as 39 different cutters, 190 top notch boats, and 36 various different aircrafts. Ensuring that they can get the job done as quickly and as effectively as possible. These men and women coast guards have many various jobs and tasks that they have to perform on a daily basis. Some of these daily tasks include inspecting the vast 2,000 commercial vessels, keeping an eye out on the 2 million various recreational boats the roam the waters, and saving the lives of people who are lost, hurt, stranded, or drowning in the oceans blue waters. Furthermore, they also have to keep the southeast border safe and secure, protect the fragile environment, enforce many laws and treaties, secure all the ports and waterways, and even stop the transport of illegal drugs and narcotics that plaque the waters. Also, they tackle the tasks of dealing with people who are not so pleased to have to deal with the coast guards.
