Ep 25. Zero

Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion is a Japanese anime television series. Here is a description for the 25th episode of its first season, titled "Zero."

In this episode, Lelouch decides to complete his mission of destroying the Britannian Empire. He now knows that his former friend Suzaku is the pilot of Lancelot, the Empire's ultimate knightmare frame, and he needs to deal with him first. Lelouch takes the decisive step of making himself a public figure, announcing "Zero" as the leader of the rebellion against Britannia and issuing an ultimatum to the Emperor to leave Japan or face the consequences.

As Lelouch prepares for his clash with Suzaku and the Britannian forces, he convinces Kallen to join him by revealing his true identity as a prince of the Britannian Empire. In return, he asks her to serve him as a loyal knight, not a mere soldier, and to keep his secret safe. Kallen agrees, overcome with emotions, and receives a new knightmare frame named Guren Mk-II, even more powerful than the original.

Meanwhile, Suzaku plans to capture Zero and uses himself as bait to lure him out. He makes a live broadcast, claiming that he knows Zero's true identity and is willing to reveal it to the world. Suzaku's trap works, and Zero falls into the Britannian ambush. He faces not only Suzaku but a full squadron of Knightmares, led by Guilford, Suzaku's former superior officer and a loyal supporter of the Emperor.

The battle is intense, with both sides using their skills and tactics to gain the upper hand. Lelouch employs his Geass to manipulate individual soldiers, using them to attack their own allies or protect him from harm. Suzaku, on the other hand, relies on his physical prowess and the advanced capabilities of Lancelot to outmaneuver Zero. At one point, Lelouch seems to have the upper hand, but Suzaku reveals that he has installed a self-destruct mechanism in Lancelot, capable of annihilating the entire battlefield in seconds.

As the fight reaches its climax, a surprising turn of events occurs. Nina, the scientist who developed the F.L.E.I.J.A. weapon that destroyed Shinjuku, appears on the scene with a new prototype, F.L.E.I.J.A. warhead. She points it at Zero, intending to obliterate him and avenge her lost love, Euphemia. However, before she can pull the trigger, something unexpected happens.

The Emperor, Charles zi Britannia, suddenly appears in his flying fortress, the Damocles, and unleashes his full power on the battlefield. He uses his unique Geass, the power of Absolute Obedience, to control Suzaku and force him into submission. He then aims the Damocles' main weapon, a giant laser, at Tokyo and prepares to erase the entire city from the face of the earth.

Lelouch, realizing that he has underestimated his enemies, decides to retreat and reassess his plans. He uses his Geass one last time to convince Kallen and the others to escape while he distracts the Britannian forces. With his identity as Zero now exposed and his allies scattered, Lelouch must find a new strategy to achieve his goals and make the impossible possible once again.
