"BTOOOM!" is an animated show produced by Madhouse and adapted from the manga series of the same name written by Jun'ya Inoue. "BTOOOM!" is the story of Ryota Sakamoto, an unemployed 22-year-old who lives with his mother. You wouldn't know it by looking at him, but he's actually one of the best players of Btooom!, one of the most popular online combat games in the world. One day, his life is turned upside-down when he wakes up on a tropical island with no memory of how or why he's there. It soon becomes clear that he's been trapped in a real-life version of Btooom! With his new partner, Himiko, Ryota has to use all of his combat skills he's learned from Btooom! to survive the nightmare long enough to find out who put him in this situation and why.
