Conan Season 7 Episode 95 Patty Jenkins, Riley Keough, Laurie Kilmartin

  • June 8, 2017

Conan O'Brien is back for another episode of his hit talk show, and he's joined by three amazing guests: Patty Jenkins, Riley Keough, and Laurie Kilmartin. The night starts off with some hilarious banter between Conan and his audience, as he talks about everything from the latest news headlines to his personal life.

Next up is Patty Jenkins, the director of Wonder Woman and its upcoming sequel, Wonder Woman 1984. Conan talks to her about the challenges she faced while making the first film, what's in store for the sequel, and her experiences working with the film's star, Gal Gadot. Patty also shares some behind-the-scenes stories from the making of the movie, including the time she accidentally set a historic building on fire.

Riley Keough, the star of the new indie movie Zola, then joins Conan on stage. She talks about her role in the film, which is based on a viral Twitter thread about a wild stripper road trip. Riley also shares her experiences working with the film's director, Janicza Bravo, and explains how she got involved with the project in the first place. Conan and Riley also discuss her family history (she's the granddaughter of Elvis Presley) and her love of hip-hop music.

Finally, comedian and writer Laurie Kilmartin takes a seat on the couch with Conan. They talk about her new book, Dead People Suck: A Guide for Survivors of the Newly Departed, which deals with the loss of her father to cancer. Laurie shares some humorous anecdotes from the book, but also gets serious about coping with loss and grief. She and Conan also talk about their experiences with aging parents and the challenges that come with caring for them.

Throughout the episode, Conan also takes some time to interact with his audience and involve them in the show. He plays a game where the audience members have to guess the names of obscure superheroes, and he also takes questions from the crowd. The night ends with a musical performance by a guest artist, rounding out yet another entertaining and informative episode of Conan.
