Ep 1. Inside Out

Howard Silk is back in the highly anticipated second season premiere of Counterpart. "Inside Out" picks up right where the first season left off with Howard's world being turned upside down after discovering the existence of a parallel dimension and a doppelganger version of himself.

The episode begins with Howard Prime (the equivalent of Howard Silk in the parallel dimension) being interrogated about his knowledge of Indigo, the mysterious organization seeking to exploit the parallel worlds for their own gain. Howard Prime's boss, Quayle, comes to his defense and vouches for his loyalty, which saves him from further questioning.

Howard Prime later meets with Quayle to discuss their mission to track down a group of sleeper agents planted in their world by Indigo. Quayle reveals that his wife, Clare, is one of the sleeper agents and Howard Prime must use his knowledge of his own reality to help them locate her.

Meanwhile, back in Howard Silk's world, the aftermath of the events from last season have left both Howard and Emily (Howard's wife) dealing with the traumatic experiences they've gone through. Emily is struggling with her memory loss and Howard is dealing with the fact that he has a doppelganger in the other world.

Howard Silk is called in to meet with his new boss, Sara, who assigns him to work on a new project that involves tracking down potential terrorist threats in their world. Howard Silk is hesitant about the assignment but agrees to it after Sara reveals that it could lead to a promotion and better job security.

As the episode progresses, we see glimpses of Howard Prime's world and the stark differences between the two realities. Howard Prime's world is a cold and harsh place where trust is scarce and everyone is looking out for themselves. In contrast, Howard Silk's world is more warm and friendly, but still has its own share of problems.

Towards the end of the episode, we see Howard Silk and Emily attending a therapy session to deal with the trauma they've experienced. The session is cut short when Howard Silk's boss, Sara, calls him in to deal with a potential terrorist threat that has just been identified.

The episode ends with Howard Silk rushing to the scene of the potential terrorist attack and Howard Prime discovering a mysterious portal that transports him to a location in Howard Silk's world.

Overall, "Inside Out" is a great start to the second season of Counterpart, delivering on the promise of an engaging and thrilling sci-fi drama. The tension and intrigue are still there, and the new developments in the story promise to keep fans on the edge of their seats throughout the rest of the season.
