Ep 2. Josh's Girlfriend is Really Cool!

In season 1 episode 2 of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, entitled "Josh's Girlfriend is Really Cool!", we see the aftermath of Rebecca Bunch's impulsive move to uproot her life in New York City and move to West Covina, California to pursue her ex-boyfriend Josh Chan.

Rebecca also tries to bond with Valencia over girl talk, but is quickly shut down when she mentions she doesn't have many female friends.

Meanwhile, Rebecca's new coworker at the law firm, Paula, is becoming increasingly invested in Rebecca's love life. Paula is married with kids and living vicariously through Rebecca's romantic escapades. She helps Rebecca concoct a scheme to get closer to Valencia and throw an impressive party, putting Rebecca's event planning skills to good use.

Unfortunately for Rebecca, the party doesn't go quite as planned. Valencia is unimpressed with the decorations and food, and Rebecca's attempts to impress her fall flat. Valencia also has a flirty moment with Josh's friend Greg, which makes Rebecca jealous and anxious. Rebecca's evening ends in disaster when she becomes drunk and humiliates herself in front of everyone.

The episode ends with Rebecca nursing a hangover and trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered plan. She learns that Josh and Valencia have been dating for over a year, which is a blow to her ego and her hopes of winning him back. Paula continues to egg her on, despite her failed attempts to impress Valencia, and Rebecca is left wondering where to go from here.

Overall, "Josh's Girlfriend is Really Cool!" is a hilarious and cringe-worthy episode that showcases Rebecca's fierce determination to win back her ex-boyfriend at any cost.
