Ep 11. I'm Almost Over You

Rebecca Bunch returns to West Covina after a brief absence and finds that some things have changed while others remain the same in "I'm Almost Over You," the 11th episode of the fourth season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Though she once again finds herself embroiled in drama, this time, she's able to keep a level head and be honest with herself about her feelings.

While Rebecca has been away, her friend Darryl has been enjoying time with his newly adopted daughter. However, there's a difficult conversation to be had when Darryl realizes that he needs to explain to her that they are not biologically related. Meanwhile, Josh and Nathaniel are struggling with their feelings for each other and whether or not to act on them.

Rebecca is noticeably more self-assured in this episode, quickly picking up on the fact that something is bothering Darryl and reminding him that he can always come to her for support. She also manages to have a mature conversation with Nathaniel in which they acknowledge their past mistakes and agree to move on as friends.

The standout musical number of the episode is "Don't Be a Lawyer," a jazz-infused song in which Rebecca's former boss reminds her of all the reasons she hated working at a law firm. It's a hilariously satirical take on the legal profession and serves as a reminder of just how far Rebecca has come since the start of the series.

Overall, "I'm Almost Over You" is a satisfying installment in the final season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. It shows the growth and development of its characters while still managing to deliver plenty of laughs and heart.
