Rebecca Bunch has been on a wild ride since the very beginning of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend." She's been in love with Josh, Greg, Nathaniel, and even herself at one point or another, all while trying to navigate the ups and downs of her mental health and personal growth. And now, in the second to last episode of the series, Rebecca finds herself once again falling head over heels for someone new.

"I'm in Love" begins with Rebecca waking up from a dream about her latest love interest, the polyamorous park ranger Jason. She's giddy and smitten, but also worried that her feelings are getting too intense too quickly, as they often do. When she gets to work, her therapist Dr. Dan (played by the fabulous Michael Hyatt) reminds her that this is a pattern for her - she dives into relationships headfirst before fully understanding and loving herself. But Rebecca is determined to make it work this time, especially after quitting her law firm job to pursue a career in songwriting.

Meanwhile, the rest of the gang is dealing with their own romantic entanglements. Greg and Nathaniel are vying for Rebecca's attention (and perhaps a bit of closure), while Valencia is adjusting to her long-distance relationship with Beth. Heather and Hector are trying to keep their spark alive after having a baby, and Darryl is dealing with his own mixed feelings about his ex-partner and current nemesis (played by none other than the delightful Patton Oswalt). It's a lot of romantic drama to pack into one episode, but somehow the writers manage to balance it all with their trademark wit and heart.

As Rebecca continues to pursue Jason, she enlists the help of her girl squad to teach her about polyamory and how it works. This leads to some hilarious and unconventional musical numbers, including a delightful duet between Paula and her husband Scott (who just so happens to be played by the amazing Steve Monroe). But despite her best efforts, Rebecca can't shake the feeling that something's not quite right. She's used to obsessing over romantic partners, but this feels different. She's actually happy and content in a way that scares her.

Without giving too much away, "I'm in Love" takes us on a rollercoaster of emotions as Rebecca tries to figure out if she's truly ready for a healthy, happy relationship. There are some unexpected twists and turns, as well as some heartwarming moments of growth and self-reflection. The episode also features some standout performances from the cast, particularly Rachel Bloom and Skylar Astin as Rebecca and Jason. Their chemistry is palpable and their scenes together are both sweet and steamy.

Overall, "I'm in Love" is a fantastic penultimate episode for "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend." It's full of laughs, tears, and some serious heart. It's a testament to the show's ability to tackle complex issues with humor and sensitivity, and to its incredible cast and crew. Whether you're a longtime fan of the series or just tuning in for the first time, this episode is not to be missed.
