Scrooge McDuck is the richest duck in the world and the star of Ducktales. In season 1 episode 23, titled Much Ado About Scrooge, he finds himself in the middle of a Shakespearean drama.
The episode opens with Scrooge hosting a fundraising gala for his favorite charity, the Save the Scottish Ice Cream Foundation. However, things quickly take a turn for the worse when his arch-rival Flintheart Glomgold arrives with his own donation – a giant check for twice the amount of Scrooge's. Scrooge is humiliated and decides to seek revenge by sabotaging Glomgold's business deal with Scrooge's former flame, Goldie O'Gilt.
Meanwhile, Scrooge's nephew, Huey, is struggling with his own issues. He has been cast as Romeo in the school play, but his crush, Violet Sabrewing, has been cast as Juliet. Huey is worried about whether or not he can handle the pressure of performing in front of an audience and professing his love to Violet. He seeks guidance from his uncle, but Scrooge is preoccupied with his plot against Glomgold.
As the episode unfolds, the two storylines begin to intertwine. Scrooge enlists the help of his faithful butler, Duckworth, and his loyal pilot, Launchpad McQuack, to sabotage Glomgold's business deal. Meanwhile, Huey turns to his brother Dewey for advice on how to win over Violet. Dewey, feeling left out, decides to sneak into Scrooge's mansion to see what he's up to.
The climax of the episode takes place at a lavish party thrown by Glomgold to celebrate his new business deal. Scrooge and his team are disguised as waiters, and they plan to wait until the perfect moment to strike. However, when the moment arrives, Scrooge hesitates and Glomgold catches on to their plan. Chaos ensues, and the Shakespearean drama unfolds as various characters duel with swords, don disguises, and engage in witty banter.
In the end, Scrooge learns a valuable lesson about honesty and integrity, while Huey gets his chance to shine on stage and win over Violet. The episode ends with a heartwarming scene in which Scrooge and his family come together to celebrate their success and reflect on the importance of staying true to oneself.
