Meanwhile, Verónica is going through a rough patch with her daughter. Her daughter is going through an age where she is struggling to find her place in the world. Verónica, who has been living a secluded life, is trying to connect with her daughter but is finding it difficult.

Back at the brothel, Alejandra and Conrado are surprised to see Gema offering services to women as well. Conrado suggests that they split up to gather more information, and Alejandra starts talking to some of the women there. One of the women tells her about a man who had been coming to the brothel for years but was recently sent to jail for drug smuggling. The woman tells Alejandra that the man had been a frequent visitor of the brothel and had a close relationship with the owner, who had helped him in his drug smuggling operations.

Alejandra tells Conrado about what she learned, and they decide to investigate the owner of the brothel. As they leave the brothel, they run into Gema again, who tells Conrado she has some information that may help him with his case.
