Ep 2. Everybody Hates the Class President

Chris is back with season 2 episode 2 titled "Everybody Hates the Class President". In this episode, we find Chris and Greg are both running to be the class president. Chris has had enough of being in the shadows and wants to leave his mark on his school, while Greg is desperate to win as he feels this is his only chance to ever get a leadership role.

We see Chris rally up his group of friends to help him win the election by making posters, giving out candy, and campaigning in the halls. However, the popular girl in school, Angel, decides to run as the third candidate. With her good looks and charm, she becomes the instant favorite to win the election.

In the meantime, Chris's father has gotten his hands on a new car. He is taking every opportunity to show it off and flex his new ride to everyone he knows. However, his joy is short-lived when he realizes that the car is not as great as he thought. The car has so many problems and is costing him a fortune to maintain. On top of that, Julius has to deal with his mother, who has come to town to visit and is not satisfied with anything he does.

As the election approaches, Chris's campaign takes a turn for the worst when Angel decides to play dirty. She begins to smear Chris's campaign by putting up posters that ridicule his campaign slogans. This causes Chris to lose his cool and get angry, which leads to a school suspension.

Meanwhile, Julius has had enough of his mother's constant criticism and decides to let her have a piece of his mind. In a heated argument, Julius tells his mother that he is doing the best he can to provide for his family, and he doesn't need her criticism. His mother is taken aback and finally realizes that Julius is a good man, providing for his family in a tough world.

In the end, the election takes place, and surprisingly, Greg wins the presidency. Chris is devastated but realizes that sometimes, good people don't always win. He shakes it off and decides to focus on his studies and other interests. His father faces many challenges with the car but eventually realizes that the car is just a material possession, and it's not worth sacrificing his financial stability for it.

Overall, "Everybody Hates the Class President" is a great episode that showcases the challenges of adolescence, facing opposition and disappointment, and the importance of family support. It highlights the harsh realities of life that we have to deal with, but it does it in a light-hearted, funny way.
