Ep 3. Everybody Hates Elections

In the second season episode three of the show "Everybody Hates Chris", titled "Everybody Hates Elections", we see Chris's school, Corleone Junior High, preparing to hold their annual student council elections. Chris's friend Greg decides to run for president, but quickly realizes he's up against stiff competition in the form of Caruso, a popular, charismatic student with plenty of friends and a natural talent for public speaking. Chris decides to help out his friend by serving as his campaign manager, and together they come up with a plan to win over voters by promising to make changes to the school's lunch menu.

As the election heats up, Chris and Greg find themselves embroiled in a series of dirty campaign tactics, including stolen campaign posters and flyers, rumors spread about Greg, and even a planted heckler at a school assembly. Despite these setbacks, Chris and Greg remain determined to win the election, but they soon discover that victory may come at a steep price. They realize that the school bureaucracy is more complicated than they thought when they find out that there is a principal who holds the real power that can undermine their efforts.

Meanwhile, back at home, Chris and his siblings are struggling to deal with their father's latest obsession – a new television set that he has just bought. Julius, the father, is so excited about his new purchase that he spends all of his time watching TV, causing chaos and arguing among the kids who are not allowed to watch anything else. This adds an additional layer of stress for Chris on top of his school election duties.

Throughout the episode, we see Chris trying to balance his responsibilities as a student, a friend, and a dutiful son. He is determined to help Greg win the election, but he is also aware of the many obstacles in their path. At the same time, he struggles to deal with his father's overbearing behavior, which seems to be getting worse by the day.

As the election comes to a close, Chris and Greg find themselves facing their toughest challenge yet. They must face off against Caruso in a live debate in front of the entire school. Without giving away any spoilers, let's just say that the debate doesn't go exactly as planned.

"Everybody Hates Elections" is another great episode of this charming and funny sitcom. It showcases the struggles that young people face when they try to be involved in politics, as well as the challenges of dealing with a difficult family situation. The episode is full of laugh-out-loud moments, as well as some poignant moments that will resonate with viewers of all ages.
