The television show "Supermodel Of The World" was a contest for aspiring models to compete with other models from around the world to gain a modeling contract and cash prizes. Eileen Ford started the competition in 1980. The winner received a Ford Model contract worth 250,000. Second place won 150,000, while the third runner up won 100,000.
