Ep 4. Glory

Tommy Tune is ready to be part of the show. But Fosse still has his doubts. Having already seen Tommy at a rehearsal, Fosse doesn't think he has what it takes to be part of the cast. However, Verdon is convinced that Tommy is a natural and urges Fosse to reconsider. Meanwhile, Fosse's insecurities continue to grow. He is convinced that he is a fraud and that his success is nothing more than a fluke. Verdon tries to reassure him, but it seems like nothing is helping.

As Fosse's doubts continue to grow, Verdon suggests that they take a trip to New York to see the play "Othello." Fosse resists at first, but eventually agrees to go. The play is a disaster, but Fosse is inspired by one of the actors, who he believes is able to convey a level of intensity and emotion that he could never achieve. Verdon assures him that he is just as talented, but Fosse doesn't want to hear it.

Back in Washington, the production is starting to come together. Fosse is still struggling, but Verdon is doing everything she can to support him. Meanwhile, the cast is starting to bond. They spend time together outside of rehearsals and become friends. This is especially true for Tune and Ann Reinking, who hit it off immediately.

As the show approaches its opening night, tensions are high. Fosse is still struggling, but he knows that he has to put on a good show. Opening night is a success, and Fosse is pleased with how everything turned out. But he still can't shake his insecurities.
