Ep 2. Signal and Noise

In Frequency season 1 episode 2, titled "Signal and Noise," we dive deeper into the main character Raimy's newfound ability to communicate with her deceased father via a ham radio.

Though he is excited to reconnect with his daughter and change the course of history, he must also navigate the familiar -- and sinister -- network of corruption and crime that exists within his own police department. As he begins to uncover the extent of the corruption, he realizes that his newfound opportunity to save lives might also come at a great cost.

As the episode progresses, Raimy and Frank continue to communicate across the divide of time, sharing information and piecing together the clues of the serial killer case. But they are not alone in their efforts. A mysterious hacker has been intercepting their radio transmissions and jumping in to offer his own insights. Though Raimy and Frank are wary of this outsider, they cannot deny that he has proven useful in helping them put together the pieces of the puzzle.

As the three of them work together to solve the case, tensions rise and questions abound. Who is this hacker, and what does he want? How much can Raimy and Frank change about the past before they risk irrevocably altering the future? And, most importantly, can they stop the killer before he strikes again?

Overall, "Signal and Noise" is a tense and gripping installment of Frequency. The show's central premise of a father and daughter communicating through time adds a unique twist to the standard crime procedural formula, and the dynamic between Raimy and Frank is fascinating to watch unfold. As the stakes continue to rise, it's hard not to get invested in both their personal journeys and their mission to bring justice to the victims of the serial killer case.
