In this medical drama series, a team of cutting-edge medical experts work to save lives in a state-of-the-art facility financed by a tech-industry billionaire. The high-tech team includes top surgeons, a rebellious chief of staff, and a former gang member devoted to improving healthcare in disadvantaged neighborhoods. Dermot Mulroney plays the maverick head surgeon, who fights against the medical bureaucracy to bring high-tech medicine to his patients free of charge. The series debuted on CBS in October 2016, and it initially received negative reviews from critics and soft ratings, taking last place among broadcast series in its Thursday-night time slot.
