They observe the gas craters in the middle of the Karakum Desert and visit the ancient city of Merv, which was once a major center of the Islamic world. They visit the Akhal-Teke horse farm, where they witness the training of the country's famous horses. Lastly, they ride along the Silk Road, one of the world's most famous trade routes, that passes through Turkmenistan.
