In the sixth episode of season 2 of Gold Rush: White Water, titled "McKinley, We Have a Problem," the Dakota boys are back on McKinley Creek in search of gold. This time around, they face not only the treacherous Alaskan terrain, but also some major equipment issues that threaten to derail their progress.
As they set up their equipment along the creek, Dustin and his crew discover that their dredge has major engine problems. With no mechanic on hand to repair it, they must rely on their own expertise and ingenuity to get it up and running again.
Meanwhile, Fred and his team are dealing with problems of their own. Their diver, Carlos, has been struggling with pain and exhaustion due to the freezing cold water, and they want to make sure he stays safe and healthy.
Despite these setbacks, the Dakota boys are determined to continue their search for gold. With the help of some new equipment and a lot of hard work, they manage to make some progress along McKinley Creek.
However, their luck takes a turn for the worse when they accidentally chip a piece off of a crucial part of their dredge. Unsure of how to fix the damage, they turn to their friend and fellow gold miner, Dave Turin, for help.
With Dave's guidance, the team is able to come up with a creative solution to their problem and get back to work. But as the days pass and their fuel and equipment supplies begin to dwindle, they realize that they may be facing their toughest challenge yet.
As the episode comes to a close, the Dakota boys must decide whether to continue their search for gold on McKinley Creek or pack up and move on to a new location. With so much at stake, the pressure is on to make the right decision and come out on top.
