In Hate Thy Neighbour season 2 episode 5, titled "Black Rebel," comedian and host Jamali Maddix dives deep into the world of black nationalists in America to try and understand why they hold such extreme beliefs and what motivates them to spread their message.

The episode opens with Jamali meeting with a group of black separatists who believe that black people should have their own separate nation within America and that white people should be excluded from it. They argue that black people have been oppressed for centuries and that the only way to achieve true equality is to break away from white society altogether.

Jamali listens to their arguments and tries to understand why they believe what they do. He also challenges them on some of their more extreme views, such as their belief in racial purity and their belief that all white people are inherently racist.

Throughout the episode, Jamali visits various black nationalist groups and individuals, including a black biker gang and a group that is training for a race war. He also speaks with white nationalists to try and get their perspective on the issue.

As he interacts with these individuals, Jamali begins to see the root of their anger and frustration. Many of them have experienced discrimination and oppression on a personal level and see their beliefs as a way to fight back against that.

However, Jamali also sees the dangers of such extreme beliefs. He witnesses how black nationalist rhetoric can lead to violence and how it can further divide an already polarized society.

Ultimately, "Black Rebel" is an eye-opening look at the world of black nationalism in America. It challenges the viewer to think critically about what motivates people to hold extreme beliefs and to consider the dangers that can come from such beliefs.
