Ep 12. No Tomorrow

In the season 3 episode 12 of How I Met Your Mother titled "No Tomorrow", Ted and Barney celebrate St. Patrick's Day with their traditional game of "The Best Burger in New York". However, this year they decide to up the ante and turn it into a drinking game where they hit up every spot on Barney's burger map and have a drink at each one.

Meanwhile, Robin and Marshall are having a hard time sleeping due to the noise from Lily's noisy new parrot. Lily, on the other hand, is completely oblivious to the chaos her new pet is causing.

As the night progresses, Ted and Barney's burger challenge takes a turn for the worse as they drink their way through the city, causing them to become more and more intoxicated. Soon, they start to question if they will make it to all the burger joints on the map. They even have to take a break when they accidentally end up at a strip club instead of the burger joint they were looking for.

Back at the apartment, Robin and Marshall are at their wit's end with the parrot's constant squawking. Robin suggests they give the parrot away, but Lily is completely opposed to the idea. She insists that the bird is just expressing itself and that they need to be patient.

As Ted and Barney continue their drinking game, things take a darker turn when they realize that they are running out of time to complete the challenge. They start to ask themselves if they should just give up and go home, but they don't want to let each other down. In a moment of clarity, they decide that they need to team up and finish the challenge together.

Back at the apartment, Lily finally realizes just how disruptive her parrot has been and decides to give it away to a friend who has more experience with birds. Robin and Marshall are relieved, but Lily is still heartbroken.

As the night comes to a close, Ted and Barney stumble into the final burger joint on the map. They realize that they have accomplished their goal, but they also realize that they don't remember any of the burgers they ate. They realize that the journey was more important than the destination and that they had a great time together.

In the end, Lily comes around to the idea of giving her parrot away and the gang all come together to say goodbye to the noisy bird. The episode ends with the gang sitting on the couch together, reflecting on the crazy night they had and the memories they made.
