How I Met Your Mother Season 4 Episode 9 The Naked Man

Ted goes on a date with a woman named Cindy, who he met at the library. The date goes well, but when Ted goes to her apartment for a nightcap, he discovers that her roommate is none other than his stalker from season three, Stella's receptionist who showed up at his doorstep. Ted immediately leaves, but not before the roommate tells him about the "naked man" move - a tactic where a man strips down to his birthday suit in hopes of seducing his date when alone.

Ted decides to test out the move himself when he goes on a date with a different woman, but it doesn't go as planned. Meanwhile, Robin and Barney argue over the morality of the naked man move, but eventually, Robin decides to give it a try on her date with a guy named Mitch. However, it doesn't exactly work out for her either.

Eventually, Ted finds out that Cindy has a boyfriend and that the whole date scenario was just a way for Cindy's roommate to set Ted up with her so they could be together. But, despite the deception, Ted still finds himself intrigued by Cindy and asks her out on another date.

Ultimately, the episode ends with Ted telling his friends about his date with Cindy and how he's unsure about taking things to the next level due to her roommate's deception. Meanwhile, Barney decides to try the naked man move himself and gets caught by his date's mother, causing him to flee the scene in embarrassment.
